NATIONAL FATHER'S DAY COUNCIL ANNOUNCES 2008 FATHER OF THE YEAR AWARDS

NEW YORK—NATIONAL HONORS – The National Father's Day Committee of the Father’s Day / Mother’s Day Council, Inc. has announced plans to honor several deserving fathers for their exemplary parenthood at the 67th Annual Father of the Year Awards luncheon on Wednesday, June 11th, 2008, at the Marriott New York Hotel in New York City.

Selected fathers to be honored, including Ron Klein, Chairman of Macy's East, play a vital role in the lives of their children and the Council is pleased to be honoring them. These exceptional fathers are leaders in their own right, spanning a diverse range of professions.

The National Father's Day/Mother's Day Council is a not-for-profit organization that strives to heighten the meaning and observance of Father's and Mother's Day, raise funds for philanthropic purposes and present Father of the Year/ Outstanding Mother Awards to deserving mothers and fathers of high accomplishment in their chosen fields who have also exhibited enormous achievement as parents. The Council has donated close to $18 million over the past 25 years to charities affecting families nationwide.
